A List of Genealogy Sites that I have used


There are plenty of on line sites to help you search out your ancestors.

Here are a few that I have used.


WikiTree.com FREE - WikiTree is a community of genealogists working together to grow an accurate single family tree using DNA and traditional genealogical sources. (One of My Favorite) Here is My WikiTree


Family Search.Org FREE - Search for your ancestors in millions of historical records. You can also search in the catalog, books, genealogies, and the Wiki.  This is a Great site with easy interface and lost of records search and attach. (One of My Favorite)


Find A Grave FREE - Find the graves of ancestors, create virtual memorials, add 'virtual flowers' and a note to a loved one's grave, etc.


Geneosity.com FREE - This site has Lots of good information and forms to use.


Linkpendium FREE - An authoritative directory to genealogy resources on the Internet


Cyndi's List.com FREE - A comprehensive, categorized & cross-referenced list of links that point you to genealogical research sites online.


Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island foundation.org FREE - Search passenger records for your ancestors.


Rootsweb FREE - Except now is Partially merged with Ancestory.com

Bureau of Land Management FREE - Access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than five million Federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present


US GEN WEB FREE - The USGenWeb Project is a group of volunteers working together and having fun providing free online genealogy help and information for every U.S. state and county
